Project Goals
Microcosmos is designed to use the capabilites of new media to cast an unexpected light on the history of science. Instead of being restricted to static descriptions and images of scientific results, we can now use interactive and dynamic tools to understand the practices by which those results were achieved. With this in mind, Microcosmos aims to provide an environment for users to experiment with the use of digital techniques to capture and convey the work of past science.
